What should I ask?

Pretty simple, ask whatever you want to know about. Try to keep it appropriate, but otherwise, just be yourself!

Q: Just wonder if you've heard much about brewing science? Fans are important to a comedian; FAN is important to fermentation! And, what's your favorite beer in SoCal?
A: I don't know much about brewing beer. My roommate in grad school was an enology major so he used to take me to a lot of homebrew parties around Davis. I listened while I tasted but I can't recall much because alcohol and retention don't go together.
My favorite brewery in Socal is Stone Brewing Company.

Q: With whom did you do your PhD?

Marc Mangel (founding Director, Center for Population Biology, UCD, faculty member 1980-1996, now at UCSC.
A: Hi Marc! My adviser was Loo Botsford. I heard your name often. Loo was afraid that if we met I'd end up working for you instead. He mentioned it many times. It was really strange.
Glad to finally meet you.
