It looks like I'll be out there in December. I'm talking to some theaters right now.

Q

Hi Tim, You should come to New Zealand - I think we need more comedians around the world like you...

Thanks so much! I've heard good things about New Zealand. My friend is doing her postdoc there.

Q

Tim Lee responded on 10/15/2010
A

I'm glad you like the comedy!
I'd like to make it to the UK. I've never performed there before so I'm not sure how to set up a show. If you have any insights let me know.
I do have a DVD available on my website as well.
Thanks for checking in!

Q

You should totally visit England! I know you'd be loved over here.

Tim Lee responded on 10/05/2010
A

I'd love to come to England. However I'm not familiar with the theater or comedy scene over there so I'm not sure how to make that happen.

Q

When are you coming back down to San Diego?

Tim Lee responded on 09/30/2010
A

I should be back in San Diego in February. I have to get that scheduled!

Q

Reverse engineer the joke process for me? Do you take a concept from science that you know & then think about the practical applications or do you see/hear something funny & look for the science?

Tim Lee responded on 09/24/2010
A

I go both ways. (only with jokes)
98% of the time I start with looking at a scientific concept and try to find the funny in it.
2% of the time I start with something funny and find the science in it. It's MUCH harder for me to work this way for some reason.

Q

I'd love to use some comedy in my Bio class here at a School in Uganda to keep my students entertained with some good science. Any way that I can search your vids for relevant material?

Tim Lee responded on 09/21/2010
A

Uganda huh? I hear it's an amazing country! It's on my list of places to see.
I can send you a DVD and you can find the relevant material if you like. Email me using the form on the website and we can set that up.

Cheers,

Tim
